GuestRoomMaribor I 23. 2. 2022
We meet at the Main square.
InteresniSafari is an event that takes us around the city, where we explore and learn about the different interests of the visiting artists. We walk around the city on a chosen theme and visit different locations to discuss, share knowledge and interpretations.
David Nez, is interested in the phenomenon of the cave in its symbolic and archetypal meaning. He is also interested in the physical substance of underground spaces, which evoke different feelings in us. Thus, on the Interest Safari, we will focus on this theme and walk through the locations of the tunnels, cellars and crypts that stretch beneath the city. We will share legends and stories and get to know both the theme and Maribor through different eyes.
Join us, meet the artist in residence and explore with us!

We closed last year with the remote residency by David Nez. During the residency, the artist developed the concept of an art installation that acts as a spatial visualization of the Anthropocene. David Nez is currently in Maribor placing the elements in a spatial layout, which you will soon be able to see in Gallery K18.
